Cookie policy
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (localStorage, pixels) can play the same role. Some are essential to remember a choice or keep a page working. Others help us understand which articles are read. None of them are required for you to browse programmes or send the contact form.
Types we use
Essential. These remember that you have seen the consent banner and store your Accept or Reject choice so we do not ask on every page load. They do not profile you for advertising.
Analytics (optional). If you press Accept, we may set first-party analytics cookies to count visits, popular paths, and approximate region at country level. If you press Reject, those cookies are not set. Rejecting does not hide courses, articles, pricing, or the contact form.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| datafeaturebase_cookie_consent | Stores your Accept or Reject choice for the banner | 12 months (localStorage until cleared) | Datafeaturebase (first party) |
| dfb_essential | Marks that the site chrome loaded without error; not used for advertising | Session | Datafeaturebase (first party) |
| dfb_analytics | Aggregated page-view counts after Accept only | 6 months | Datafeaturebase (first party) |
| fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com | Delivers display and body fonts; may set third-party cookies per Google’s policies | As set by Google Fonts | Google (third party) |
How to manage or disable cookies
Use Accept or Reject on the banner. To change a choice later, clear site data for datafeaturebase.digital in your browser, reload, and pick again. You can also block cookies entirely in browser settings. Blocking all cookies may reset the banner each visit; it will not stop HTML pages or forms from working.
Third-party cookies
We load fonts from Google Fonts. That service is outside our control and may process technical data under Google’s privacy terms. Images on course and blog pages are requested from public image hosts (for example Unsplash). Those hosts may receive your IP address when the image loads. We do not use advertising networks or retargeting pixels on this site.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting optional analytics means we cannot see which field notes are useful. Essential storage, if blocked entirely, only affects whether the banner reappears. Programmes, legal pages, and contact remain available either way. For how we handle personal data beyond cookies, read the privacy notice.
